The S.P.D. Shadow Ranger is a Power Ranger identity assumed by two different characters in the Power Rangers universe, most notably Anubis "Doggie" Cruger.
Anubis "Doggie" Cruger: Originally the Supreme Commander of Space Patrol Delta (S.P.D.), Cruger is a Sirian from the planet Sirius. Driven by a strong sense of justice and haunted by the loss of his planet and wife, Isinia, he initially serves as a mentor figure to the B-Squad Rangers. When the situation demands it, he morphs into the Shadow Ranger, wielding the Shadow Saber with exceptional skill. His experience and combat prowess make him a formidable force against evil.
The Shadow Ranger identity is recognizable by its black and silver suit, its enhanced speed and agility and the powerful Shadow Saber.
Although only Doggie Cruger is really well known for the role, Sam, a time-travelling S.P.D. Cadet from the future, becomes the S.P.D. Shadow Ranger in his timeline.
